PURGATORY
R. Hammond
Chippewa Publishing, February
2006
eBook short story, $2.00
Our past will catch up with us. How safe is yours?
PURGATORY is a short, punch-packing 15 minute read. From teens to adults,
this is a must read.
The description (you may think overly done; I think done well) puts you
squarely into the emotion of the piece. To say much more would give it
away.
I dare you to read this story and not walk away with a nod of approval,
but also with a reflective "wait a minute."

CHRYSALIS
Terri Lynn Coop
Chippewa Publishing, February
2006
eBook short story, $2.00
I thoroughly enjoyed this short dark fantasy story. I would love to quote
you the final line, but that would give the story away.
Alice Anderson was tired of being Alice, so she became Alyzia Anubis.
Alyzia was now bored with being Alyzia. Life on the edge of society wasn't
being much fun. Her coven was filled with lovesick groupies. She was non-existent
to the leading cliques, the vampires and Goths. She did everything she
could--right hair, shopped at the right places (The Wiccan Warehouse and
Discount Outlet), ate the right food (Wisdom Salad). She was cool.
But then one night she made the silly wish we've all made--I wish I were
dead, they would be sorry, then.
Oops.
This is a first class read. I loved it.

THE
AQUARIUS CODE
by Andrew May
Chippewa Publishing, March
2006
eBook, $3.00
ISBN 1-933400-20-X
The hardest (saddest) part of being a reviewer and a book lover is when
you and the book don't mix. Is it because of the author's work or your
lack in understanding? Is it due to the author's style or your taste in
stories?
I refuse to trash any author and their work because we don't mix. That
is not why I agreed to review books. I took on this responsibility for
the joy of reading new authors--authors I might not have ever come across
on my own. Unfortunately, Andrew May's THE AQUARIUS CODE and I don't mix.
This is a story involving hidden knowledge kept from the masses. A vast
universe made of higher existences and those who have stumbled
onto one level. How do they get home? And if they do make it home, then
what? Gnostic Theology, Stonehenge, and the constellation Aquarius all
play a part.
This is an adult material story. Although the language and somewhat sexual
content is tame, one must be prepared for them. When used, they fit into
the context of the story. If you are a fan of mystic meanings, ancient
rituals, secret governments blended with a science fiction touch then
this may be a story that mixes with you.
