SCRATCH TICKET CoverSCRATCH TICKET
Nancy S. Ward
Chippewa Publishing, May 2006
eBook, $3.00

Ms. Ward has written quite a tempting story. As a mother, SCRATCH TICKET touched a cord in me. As a reader, I'm sad yet another entertaining e-book is over. This one's a keeper.

How many of us have bought a lottery ticket dreaming about what we would do if we won. Imagine if you could just look at a ticket and know it was a winner. Even if it was just enough to ease the financial pressure we've all known at some time. Just enough to move us up a bit, invest for a child's future, quit our job and go back to school or just time to re-evaluate
our life.

We would never be like others who have won and spent it all in a matter
of months, right?

However, it has been said that money changes everything. Would you be
able to resist the temptation to indulge yourself? Would it really matter
if you did?

Read SCRATCH TICKET and find out.

MASTERPIECE CoverMASTERPIECE
Nancy S. Ward
Chippewa Publishing, April 2005
eBook, $3.00, PDF ISBN 1-933400-33-1

I really enjoy Ms. Ward's writing. She effortlessly locks you into her tale. Minimal words for a maximum punch.

Never thought I would like an egotistical S.O.B. but I couldn't help myself with Ms. Wards' character Scott Handler. He's just so dang honest.

So, what's his story?

Well, he can paint. He really did love Erin in his own strange pathetic way. He used Grace. But it was worth it to paint "Every Woman," his regal masterpiece.

Wasn't it?

Looking for a quick escape, something to take you away from your surroundings for a short time? Grab Nancy S Ward's MASTERPIECE. You won't regret it.

MASTERPIECE II CoverMASTERPIECE II: GRACE'S STORY
Nancy S. Ward
Chippewa Publishing, April 2006
eBook, $3.00, PDF ISBN 1-833400-34-X

Another compelling story by Nancy Ward. Although, MASTERPIECE II did not grab me as much as her other works, it was still an unusual read. Something to make you think and wonder. Far better than just an ordinary follow-up.

MASTERPIECE II: GRACE'S STORY gives us a glimpse into the make up of a previously met character. However, you don't need to know the first MASTERPIECE to be able to follow this second story. Consider MASTERPIECE II a character dissection and journey of what happens next. Who and what we were in life doesn't end on the next plane of existence, we still grow and discover.

Again, not my favourite of Ms Ward's e-books, but she sure knows how to look inside the human psyche and bring it alive in fictional characters.

MASTERPIECE II CoverTHE WITCH OF WOLF HILL
The Second First Daughter, Book 1
Sara-Jane FOx
Chippewa Publishing, June 2006
eBook, $3.99

As I write this, I have mixed emotions. Ms. Fox has made a good start to what promises to be an enjoyable series. However, this first novella doesn't quite make a full impact.

What saves this fledgling start is the main character, Brangwen Black. There's something honest and offbeat about her. She's an atypical character, and while that maybe the norm lately, that's not saying she's not original. I am confused at her reaction and then lack of reaction to her sister's death in the opening prologue. I'm hoping this will be explained more in future novellas.

It appears that Brangwen is from a family of witches, though I don't believe she knows this yet. Her sister was brutally murdered, and as the first daughter was to be the only trained in the family powers. Brangwen has no power, except the ability to draw.

We're also introduced to her crush, Devon White. Something's drawing the two of them together.

Ms. Fox leaves us with an ending that is just interesting enough to want to read the second in her series.

As I said, I'm of mixed emotions. Maybe this would have worked better as a longer book. All in all a distinguished start.

LOVE SPELLS CoverLOVE SPELLS FOR DREAMERS
Bryn Colvin
Chippewa Publishing, June 2006
eBook, $4.00

Just what is love?

It can save you, be lost before you know it, a precious gift, travels full circle, is conquering, all seeing, wild.

Too much sweetness can leave you with a sour feeling. While Bryn Colvin's LOVE SPELLS FOR DREAMERS is brimming with tender devotion, taken one story at a time it is an enchanting read. A feel good reminder about what love could be and is.

LOVE SPELLS FOR DREAMERS is a romantic's e-book. Don't rush this reading. Let each story unfold and settle in your heart before you move on to the next.
