If my trip to England had been as boring as the plane ride across the Atlantic, I could have slept right through it. But when your first introduction to a foreign country is over the corpse of a very prominent British socialite, it is anything but boring.
I was being paid to attend the British Pathological Society’s yearly forum. It was held this year outside London at the private manor house of Sir Terrence Wetherington.
I was by myself, as I usually am. I have never married, being far too self-centered and involved in my first love, forensics, to relinquish the time necessary to make a union work.
Over the years I have accumulated advanced degrees in Criminology, Law, and Forensic Anthropology. During those years, I interned with the FBI and also was fortunately able to study advanced areas of Forensics with several other law enforcement agencies. Having been born with an analytical mind and a need to balance circumstances, a bit of luck has helped me establish a reputation for solving odd criminal problems.
I was here in the United Kingdom to share information on some of those cases.
