EARL STAGGS - After spending most of their lives in Maryland, Earl and his bride of thirty-three years decided they'd had enough cold winters for one lifetime and moved south. After three years in Florida, they settled in Fort Worth, Texas, where Earl writes mystery, crime and humor stories. His work has appeared in Cozy Detective, Mysterical-e, Blue Murder, Without a Clue, and other print and online publications.

Like so many others, Earl dreamed of being a fiction writer as far back as he can remember. During the early years, however, that dream was pushed aside by other pressing distractions. Making a living, raising children, paying the mortgage, the usual.

But the dream of writing was always there in the margin, nagging, and in 1995, he decided to devote serious time to writing. Since then, he has completed one mystery novel, has another in the works, and continues to write short stories.
