Each year, the prestigious Mystery Writers of America (MWA) organization solicits nominations for its Edgar awards--Edgar as in Edgar Allan Poe.  We at FMAM were delighted and thrilled to have Warren Murphy, well-known mystery writer and two-time Edgar Award winner, serve as honorary chairman of the FMAM Edgar Short Story Nominating Committee.

The stories selected and submitted are listed below.  There were two categories: One was for the Robert L. Fish Memorial Award for first-time authors, and the other was for short stories written by authors with prior fiction publishing credits.

We at FMAM think all of our authors are winners!  Congratulations to all of them!  (For more information about the Edgar awards go to the Mystery Writers of America's site at www.mysterywriters.org.)
