Venus Retrograde: Ah, Ah, Ah!
No, you don’t have to stick out your tongue for the doctor when Venus is retrograde–although Venus is closely linked to ailments of the throat and thyroid.
You may, however, feel as if Venus is sticking her pretty tongue out at you and blowing raspberries instead of bubbles from March 6th to April 17th.
And while you might want to file an amended return for earlier years while Venus is retrograde (one of the few financial steps you really can do effectively with Venus retrograde), you will want to check your figures very, very carefully.
Venus retrograde is all about re-evaluation: Revaluing friendships, money, personal relationships, sources of income. If it’s pretty, fun, desirable or makes your life better–it’s up for examination now.
Venus retrograde takes her toll, but the rules are simple:
AVOID shopping while Venus is retrograde because things that look like bargains are not. Lemons roll off the auto assembly lines. The dress that almost fits never does. And the color that’s on sale that you rarely wear won’t fit your wardrobe or look good on you when you get it home. Because it’s on sale–no refunds. Ah, ah, ow.
I already mentioned it, but I’ll repeat: AVOID buying a new car now. You might hate the color or it might be a lemon or you might find better financing right after Venus goes direct. There are so many ways to regret a big purchase.
DO go over your whole budget while you do taxes. Consult with financial helpers if you need them. Saving a few dollars on consultation fees now could be way too expensive later. Ah.
DO have coffee with an enticing old flame. Ah, um.
DO make up with an old friend. Ah, um.
DO pay attention to what you fight about now. If it’s petty, let it go. Or change your ways. If it’s important, deal with it before the relationship deepens.
AVOID starting an important new job. Work as a temp and use the time to evaluate new careers if that option’s open. If you must start a new job now, keep your resume up to date and save your pennies for later. On the other hand, if it’s the right company and the wrong job, you may be able to negotiate a change when Venus goes direct. Ah, yeah.
Venus retrograde does have its perks.
The public at large will finally absorb and come to terms with the economy. We’ll be seeing individual initiative, long-term changes right after tax season.
If there was ever a time to discover love in the face of the boy next door (or the modern equivalent of the guy in the next cubicle), well, Ah, Ah, Ah, Venus retrograde brought Cupid along after all.
And with Venus retrograde on the Spring Equinox, we may all be wiser and more thoughtful in our love (and our lusts) as the year progresses. A big AHHhhh for that.
